Or la trag\u00e9die en Espagne \u00e9tait peu repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e hors du cadre des th\u00e9\u00e2tres commerciaux, les <i>corrales de comedias<\/i>. Dans ces conditions, comment une id\u00e9e de la trag\u00e9die suffisamment consistante pour \u00eatre mobilis\u00e9e dans les m\u00e9canismes de composition et de r\u00e9ception du th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Lope a-t-elle pu se former\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>Cet ouvrage explore d\u2019abord la formation de comp\u00e9tences g\u00e9n\u00e9riques du public du <i>corral<\/i>, \u00e0 partir de deux ensembles en amont de la trag\u00e9die lopesque : les \u0153uvres tragiques \u00e9crites entre 1575 et 1585 et les <i>comedias <\/i>tragiques \u00e9crites au tournant du si\u00e8cle<i>.<\/i> Il revient ensuite \u00e0 la trag\u00e9die lopesque proprement dite, analysant la formule que Lope instrumentalise \u00e0 l\u2019envi pour s\u00e9duire divers types de public, en jouant de la plasticit\u00e9 d\u2019une forme qui se laisse adapter <i>ad hoc<\/i>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"book-more-content\">\n<div id=\"book-more-content-presentationfull\" class=\"selected\">\n<div id=\"presentation-1941-en\" class=\"tabContent hide active\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">\n<p>Lope de Vega (1562-1635) wrote six works which he called <em>tragedias <\/em>and some thirty other <em>tragicomedias<\/em>, at a time when custom demanded that all works be assigned a super-generic label, namely <em>comedia<\/em>. Tragedy in Spain was known for a genre foreign to the world of commercial theatres\u2014the <em>corrales de comedias<\/em>. In such conditions, how could a notion of tragedy be formed that was solid enough to operate in the mechanics of composition and reception of Lope\u2019s plays?<\/p>\n<p>This book begins by exploring the emergence of an ability to appreciate genre among the audiences of the <em>corral <\/em>based on two groups of plays: tragic plays written between 1575 and 1585 and tragic <em>comedias <\/em>written at the turn of the century.
